My passion for photography developed when my father gave me his old Canon A-1 35mm film camera (remember those?) when I went to college and photography became my hobby. I eventually became a staff photographer at the Kaleidoscope, the student newspaper at UAB when I was working on my MBA. As the photography industry changed from film to digital, I purchased my first digital camera. Digital photography has given me the opportunity to be artistic in my creativeness; which I was not able to do with film. Although I do not consider myself a professional, I have been called upon to use my talents for volunteer organizations I have been involved with and have even submitted a picture or two over the years for various internal publications where I have worked. This isn’t really my “portfolio” as much as it is simply an ongoing display of shots I have taken recently.
